We have just returned from an initial visit to the site in Rwika where we will be building the health centre.
The centre plans were presented representatives of the community
of Rwika, and local experts, and were warmly received.
A consultation session was held with the Village Chief and
health experts from the immediate area and Nairobi to elicit their
feedback on the needs of the community, and to discuss how the
centre can best serve these needs.
Meetings were also held with local builders who provided us with
advice and feedback, and helped us to begin developing initial
costings.
Feedback from these meetings has been passed to our architects
who are now developing the next version of the centre plans.
